DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
At YalGames (https://yalgames.com/), we respect the creativity, effort, and intellectual property rights of game developers, publishers, artists, and other content creators. We expect the same respect from anyone who contributes content to or interacts with our platform.
This policy explains how copyright owners can report potentially infringing material on YalGames, how we review removal requests, and how affected parties may respond when content is removed in error. Our procedures are intended to address copyright concerns fairly and, where applicable, in accordance with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), including 17 U.S.C. Section 512.
1. Copyright and Game Content
YalGames is an online gaming portal and game development studio. Our website may feature browser-based games, embedded gaming experiences, original content, images, descriptions, and other materials associated with games and interactive entertainment.
Games, artwork, music, characters, logos, and related materials may belong to their respective creators or rights holders. Displaying a game or referring to a particular title on YalGames does not imply that we own its intellectual property or have an official partnership with its developer.
We aim to respect applicable licenses and permissions. If you believe that material available through YalGames violates your copyright, please contact us using the process below.
2. Submitting a Copyright Takedown Notice
If you own copyrighted material, or are authorized to act on behalf of its owner, and believe that content on YalGames infringes an exclusive copyright right, you may send us a written notice requesting its removal or the disabling of access.
To help us review your complaint, please include the following information:
- Copyrighted work: Identify the original work you believe has been infringed. If your complaint covers several works, you may provide a representative list.
- Location of the material: Include the exact URL of each allegedly infringing page or item on YalGames, along with enough information for us to locate it.
- Contact details: Provide your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so we can communicate with you about the complaint.
- Good-faith statement: State that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, the owner’s representative, or applicable law.
- Accuracy and authorization statement: Confirm that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Signature: Include your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of the person authorized to represent the copyright owner.
Where to Send Your Notice
Send your copyright complaint to:
Email: [email protected]
Subject: DMCA Copyright Takedown Notice
Please include all relevant details in your email. Incomplete information may make it difficult to identify the material or determine the appropriate response.
3. How We Handle Copyright Complaints
When we receive a copyright complaint, we review the information provided and determine what action is appropriate under the circumstances.
Depending on the nature of the complaint, we may:
- Review the identified content and its location on our website.
- Request clarification or additional information when needed.
- Remove content or disable access when warranted.
- Contact the relevant content provider, developer, or publisher when appropriate.
- Maintain records of complaints and actions taken.
We aim to address legitimate copyright concerns promptly and in good faith. The time required to review a request may vary depending on its completeness and complexity. Where applicable law requires expedited action, we intend to follow those requirements.
4. Counter-Notifications
If material associated with you has been removed or disabled following a copyright complaint, and you believe the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification.
A counter-notification under the DMCA must contain the following:
- Identification of removed material: Describe the material that was removed or disabled and provide the URL where it appeared before removal.
- Your contact information: Include your full legal name, mailing address, and telephone number.
- Statement under penalty of perjury: Confirm that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification.
- Consent to jurisdiction: State that you consent to the jurisdiction of the United States federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if you reside outside the United States, any judicial district in which the service provider may be found. You must also agree to accept service of process from the original complainant or that person’s authorized agent.
- Signature: Provide your physical or electronic signature.
Send your counter-notification to [email protected] with the subject line DMCA Counter-Notification.
Submitting a counter-notification may have legal consequences. Consider obtaining independent legal advice if you are unsure about your rights or the statements you are required to make.
5. What Happens After a Counter-Notification?
When the statutory DMCA counter-notification process applies and we receive a valid counter-notification, we will follow the relevant legal procedures, including notifying the original complainant.
Under 17 U.S.C. Section 512(g), the process generally provides for restoration of eligible material no fewer than 10 and no more than 14 business days after receipt of a valid counter-notification, unless the original complainant notifies the service provider of a qualifying court action seeking to prevent the alleged infringement.
These procedures apply only where the statutory requirements are met. A counter-notification does not automatically guarantee that material will be restored or remain available on YalGames.
6. Requests From Game Developers and Publishers
We understand that developers and publishers may have questions about how their games, screenshots, artwork, or other materials appear on third-party gaming websites.
If you are a developer, publisher, or authorized representative who would like us to review or remove content associated with your work, you are welcome to contact us directly. A formal DMCA notice is not always necessary to begin a conversation about a content concern.
To help us understand your request, please provide:
- Your name and relationship to the game or content.
- The title of the game or work involved.
- The specific YalGames URL where the material appears.
- Information demonstrating your ownership or authority to act for the rights holder.
- A brief explanation of the action you are requesting.
We will review the information and work toward an appropriate resolution. You can reach us at [email protected].
7. Repeat Copyright Infringement
YalGames does not support repeated copyright infringement. Where applicable, we maintain a policy for addressing repeat infringement by users or content providers.
Depending on the circumstances and our ability to control the material or account involved, we may remove content, restrict submissions, suspend access, or terminate the accounts of repeat infringers when appropriate.
We consider relevant information and applicable legal obligations when determining what action to take.
8. False or Misleading Copyright Claims
Copyright complaints and counter-notifications should be submitted carefully and truthfully.
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, knowingly making material misrepresentations about alleged infringement or the mistaken removal of content may result in legal liability, including certain damages, costs, and attorney fees.
We encourage everyone submitting a copyright-related request to confirm that their statements are accurate and supported by a reasonable understanding of their rights.
9. Third-Party Games and External Content
Some games and resources accessible through YalGames may be provided by third-party developers, publishers, or external services. Those parties may retain ownership of their respective content and may operate under separate licenses or terms.
We do not necessarily control the content hosted on external websites or services. If a copyright concern involves material hosted outside YalGames, you may also need to contact the relevant hosting provider or rights holder.
Embedding or linking to external content does not automatically resolve copyright or licensing requirements. We may review links, embeds, images, and other materials when a legitimate rights concern is brought to our attention.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this DMCA & Copyright Policy to reflect changes in our services, applicable laws, or copyright-handling procedures.
Any revised version will be published on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage visitors and rights holders to review this policy when needed.
